Some would say he is the personification of freedom, as swift as the wind. Sonic wants everyone to have a chance to be happy and does everything he can to make sure of this. He has an overall cocky attitude, and can play it up to the point he seems egotistical, to keep most conversations he enters light and to reduce stress for the other members of his team by doing so. He doesn't trust easy as result of growing up in harsh conditions and wanting to keep his friends safe. Sonic would do anything for his friends and would risk his life for them in a heart beat, of course he will also do this for strangers because its merely in his nature. He is mostly self-sufficient, but always remembers his friends have his back if so necessary, though getting him to ask for their help is a different story. He loves his friends with all his heart and a big fear of his is losing them.

Super Speed Sonic was born with the two fastest feet on Mobius and he isn't afraid to brag about it.
Spin Dash Using the power rings, Sonic is able to form a running summer-salt cutting through enemies
Endurance Being able to run as fast as he does and loving it, hes gained incredible endurance
Extremely Agile Being able to run at such speeds and fighting like he does, Sonic has had to learn agility quickly. This is really evident in his fighting style which is quite reminiscent to a certain style of dance.
Super Sonic Sonic can obtain this form using the Chaos Emeralds and fifty Power Rings. In this form he gains almost total invincibility. His strength and speed also increase greatly. His appearance changes sightly as his fur turns gold and quills turn slightly upwards.
Ultra Sonic Gained through large amounts of energy, this form gives Sonic the ability to manipulate atom structure. This allows him to transform one type of matter to another and fly. He looks the same in this form, the only difference being the atom cloud surrounding Sonic. This make him resemble the nucleus of an atom.
Weaknesses:
Aquaphobia Terrible phobia of water, as such he can't swim
Impulsive More often then not Sonic does not think of the consequences of his actions.
Stubborn Once he sets his mind on something he doesn't quit. No matter what.

Sonic was born to Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog though they were robotizied at the end of the Great War. This left Sonic with his uncle, Sir Charles Hedgehog. He met his friends through his uncle's work for the King, Maximillian Acorn and Sally's father.
On the day of Robotnik's take over his uncle Chuck and dog, Muttski, were taken to the robotizier. Sonic took it upon himself then to save and help everyone he could and went on to form the freedom fighters with Princess Sally, Rotor and Antione. They took refuge in Knothole village with everyone else they managed to gather.
